  1. how many titles are displayed during the opening sequences to the film? There are 28 titles in the opening scene
  2. what images are prioritized in the opening sequence? It is mostly him walking in the night time 
  3. what connotations do the images carry? The images create a fear because there is low lighting, shadows all around little visibility.              
  4. how is genre reinforced through symbolic and technical codes from the outset? In the start of the film, the tracking shot of him walking brings the audience to wonder what is hiding in the shadows.
  5. how does the film establish an enigma [mystery] from the outset? The lighting and mystery from the opening shot establishes an enigma. The fear of the unknown and what will happen.
  6. what strategies are used to ensure the film appeals to its target audience? Some strategies were the poster, it gives a peek into the movie, you can tell that is going to be scary because of the grass that is broken with the different scenes.
  7. how has technology been used effectively? The camera angles play a huge role and so does the lighting from the tech crew.
